Video: Harness Your Students' Digital Smarts

This video is about a teacher named Vikki Davis. She lives in a rural south town in Georgia.  She is getting her students involved with every kind of technology that there is.  She believes that students that have only pencil and paper are only a few, the other students learn by different technologies.  She focuses on teaching them new software such as using Wikki correctly and learning how to blog correctly and many different other software.  She tries to make the students feel very comfortable with learning the new technologies and applying them to everyday work.  She also has her students share information and blog to other students across the world.  I believe that Vikki Davis has a great way of showing how to use technology for many different things.  Technology is not just for chatting with people and doing homework assignments it can be so much more. I hope when I become a teacher I will use technology in a way that Vikki Davis does.  I like that Vikki Davis taught her students about blogging and using video chats to communicate with others across the world.  This give students a chance to react with other students and a great learning opportunity to learn from a different country.  I believe that technology is just going to become more advanced as the future approaches.  We need to get students involved as soon as possible!
